Help Build Store One’s Capacity
Investing in our Community…
The capacity building campaign for the renovation and furnishing of the Store One facility will help provide new economic opportunities and inspiration for small business startups in greatly underserved Orange County neighborhoods. Your investment in Store One will help create a more highly skilled local labor force, prepared for better paying and potentially life-changing culinary & hospitality industry jobs.
Facilities & Capabilities
In total, Store One will be a 12,393 square foot facility that includes four professional kitchen spaces that program participants can rent through a low-cost membership fee. Kitchen equipment, cold & dry storage, and back-of-house space will allow businesses to create and produce small-batch goods at a fraction of the cost of other rental spaces. The facility will also include two pop-up incubator spaces that will feature retail to the public and on-site dining.
Funding Objectives & Timeline
The City of Anaheim has heavily invested in the Store One project, spending $4.5 million to acquire the property and securing an additional $7.75 million in public funds for site improvements and building renovation. Capacity Building funds are needed for furnishings, fixtures and facility equipment as well as for developing the operational capacity of the organization.
Phase One of the capacity building campaign was launched in January 2023, and successfully raised $3 million toward the campaign's $8 million goal. In June 2024, Phase Two got underway to raise the additional $5 million needed and will continue through the dedication in 2026. The capacity building campaign has the following funding objectives:
